Practice 1.1.1: Self-Reflection Exercise
Practice 1.1.1: Self-Reflection Exercise
Step 1: Identifying Your Strengths
- Think about three qualities, traits, or skills that you’re proud of. These could be personal qualities, like perseverance or creativity, or skills you’ve developed over time, such as teamwork or leadership.
- Write down three qualities about yourself that you’re proud of.
- Example: "I’m proud of my ability to stay calm under pressure," or "I have a strong work ethic."
Step 2: Reflecting on Your Strengths
- Reflect on how these qualities have helped you face challenges or achieve goals in the past.
- For each of the three qualities, write down one situation where this strength helped you overcome a challenge or achieve something meaningful.
- Example: "My calmness under pressure helped me perform well in a high-stakes game," or "My work ethic helped me finish a tough project on time."
Step 3: Applying Your Strengths to Future Challenges
- Think about a current or upcoming challenge in your life.
- Identify one upcoming challenge and describe how you can use your strengths to handle it.
- Example: "I’ll rely on my calmness under pressure to stay focused during exams," or "I’ll use my leadership skills to guide my team through this tough season."
Step 4: Reflection
- What did you learn about yourself through this exercise?
- How has recognizing your strengths impacted your confidence?
This structure should help guide your participants through the reflection process effectively. Let me know if you need any changes!
