Assignment: Exercise 1.2.1 — Living by Your Values

Step 1: Identify Your Core Values

  • Review the list of values provided in the lesson. These values may include qualities like honesty, compassion, courage, growth, accountability, kindness, resilience, and others.
  • Task: Select two or three values that resonate with you the most. These should be values that align with who you are or who you want to become.

Step 2: Reflect on the Importance of Your Chosen Values

  • Think about how these values have played a role in your life up to this point.
  • Reflection Questions:
    • Why do these values stand out to you?
    • Have they helped you navigate challenges or make important decisions?
    • How do these values help you practice self-love and build confidence?

Step 3: Plan How to Live by Your Values

  • Now that you’ve identified your core values, consider how you can begin to actively live by them in your daily life.
  • Task: For each value, write down one specific action you can take to start living by it.
    • Example: If one of your values is kindness, you might commit to performing a random act of kindness or practicing self-compassion by speaking kindly to yourself.
    • If one of your values is growth, you might commit to learning something new or taking on a challenge that will push you out of your comfort zone.

Step 4: Reflection and Action Plan

  • Consider how living by these values will impact your confidence, self-love, and personal growth.
  • Task: Write a short paragraph reflecting on how incorporating these values into your life will strengthen your sense of self-love.
    • How will practicing these values help you build a stronger foundation of confidence?

Step 5: Weekly Action

  • Over the next week, practice incorporating these values into your life.
  • Task: At the end of the week, write a brief reflection on how it felt to live by your values and whether you noticed any changes in your mindset, behavior, or confidence.
