About Me

Obi Emegano
Olympian | Founder of WonbyOne | Creator of The Mindful Athletic Performance Program (MAPP) | Mental Health Advocate

As an 8-year professional basketball player and Tokyo 2020 Olympian, I’ve seen firsthand how mental toughness is just as important as physical training. My journey on the court, including overcoming five major surgeries, reinforced my belief that true strength lies in the mind. These experiences inspired me to bridge the gap between mental wellness and high performance.

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Master’s studies in the same field, I’ve combined my academic insights with my athletic experience to create WonbyOne. Through our flagship program, the Mindful Athletic Performance Program (MAPP), we empower athletes, professionals, and teams to cultivate mental resilience, manage stress, and achieve peak performance. The MAPP framework is already transforming how individuals approach their mental game, providing tools to enhance focus, reduce anxiety, and elevate results—both in sports and business.

I’m also the host of The Wonbyone Mental Health Podcast, where we explore real-life stories of overcoming mental hurdles, building mental strength, and embracing personal growth. Our guests come from diverse backgrounds, but they all share one mission: to break the stigma surrounding mental health and inspire others to prioritize their well-being.

Having competed at the highest levels and pushed through significant personal challenges, I understand the pressure to perform. My mission is to help others not just survive in high-stress environments, but thrive—whether in athletics, in the boardroom, or in everyday life.
